Join us for a special Beaujolais Nouveau dinner at 7pm on Wednesday 27th November 2024. We will be celebrating a 50 year old driving and wine tradition, racing to be the first to drink the newly released Beaujolais. This is a combined Petrolhead and WAG organised Club event to which all members are invited!
We will be privileged to enjoy this year’s Beaujolais Nouveau, secured for us by DBM wines, with a delicious three-course dinner especially designed for the occasion by Chef Wragg.
Richard Davis, founding partner of DBM wines based in Clifton Village will speak to us about the history of the Beaujolais Nouveau race. Richard has been in the wine trade over 35 years, starting with a small wine company in the city, then at Findlater Mackie Todd and Waitrose Wine before coming to Bristol in 2000 as a Director at Avery’s.
Richard has been a Petrolhead his whole life, since being parked in the paddock at Silverstone in his pram. He has owned mostly British Classics including TVRs and MGs. Richard is co-organiser of the Clifton Classic Car Rally. His current steeds are a 1968 MG CGTS Sebring, and a 1934 MG PB.
The dinner will include a welcome drink, half a bottle of wine (with white as well as red Beaujolais) and a three-course dinner with coffee and tea,
