Clifton Club Business Networking Club – “On The Sofa”
Tuesday 7th February, 2023 6.30pm onwards
The Clifton Club is delighted to invite you and a guest to the fourth in the series of our “On The Sofa” interviews.
Tabled as a networking event this will be an opportunity for you to meet and engage with your fellow Clifton Club members whilst learning more about members interesting careers and life experiences.
This exceptionally successful Business Networking Club became a part of The Clifton Club fabric bringing together our “working” members regularly to network and grow mutually beneficial relationships.
The format is simple; on arrival you will receive a complimentary glass of wine before moving into the dining room where we will have two Clifton Club members “On The Sofa” who will be interviewed by past Chairman Mike Beelsey aking no longer than an hour you will be given the opportunity to ask questions before retiring to the bar for refreshments and a complimentary buffet.
Two more current Clifton Club Members have agreed take part and share with us their life and career experiences;
First up is Clifton Club Member, Paul Davis. Paul is a Bristolian, Entrepreneur, Business Mentor, Chairman, Charity Trustee, Angel Investor and when time allows a keen sailor with a yacht master offshore qualification. He has had and continues to have varied business interests, owning and running various shipping and freight businesses, funeral businesses, and property companies. Paul is currently a director of the Clifton Club, and Chairman elect. He is also a member of BPEC Paul also has a couple of active non-exec roles.
Second up is Clifton Club Member, Dr Megan Walters. Megan grew up in North Somerset and is global Head of Research at Allianz Real Estate. Prior to joining Allianz, she led a team of 170 researchers at JLL as Head of Research, Asia Pacific, and was a member of its leadership board. Previously, she worked developing deals for schools, hospitals, and hotels, and as an academic. Dr. Walters is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. She holds a Ph.D. in real estate economics from University of Hong Kong, and degrees from the University of Reading. She currently serves as a global governing trustee of ULI, and sits on the ANREV management board and on the Asia Pacific board of the RICS.
