Whether you’re a dedicated petrolhead or not, all are warmly welcomed to The Clifton Club for our Annual Petrolheads Dinner on Wednesday 22nd November. Indulge in a delectable three-course meal prepared by Chef Wragg and be captivated by our guest speaker, John Spencer.
John Spencer, our esteemed guest, takes us on a captivating journey through the history of AC Cars, spanning from their inception in 1899 to the present day. In his early career, he delved into the world of heavy engineering, specializing in power station manufacturing, construction, and commissioning. The majority of his professional life was dedicated to marine engineering for the Royal Navy, where his expertise flourished. However, John’s connection to AC Cars runs deeper; his passion for these iconic vehicles was ignited back in 1953 when his family acquired an AC Saloon for their daily transportation. John’s unwavering dedication to the AC Owners’ Club is truly commendable. He joined as an Archivist in 2001, preserving the rich heritage of these remarkable automobiles, and later ascended to the position of Vice President in 2013. His multifaceted career and enduring love for AC Cars make him an engaging and insightful speaker that you won’t want to miss.
