You’re cordially invited to join the Petrolheads Spring Rally to the picturesque Littlecote House in Wiltshire. Prepare for an unforgettable journey as we embark on a scenic 61-mile route through the breathtaking English countryside.
Highlights of the day include a delectable lunch stop at The Wheatsheaf Inn in Chilton Foliat. Following our pub lunch, we’ll venture to Littlecote House and Gardens, where you’ll delve into the rich history of this magnificent Elizabethan residence. From its origins in the 13th century to its role as a strategic base during the Civil War, and even hosting Henry VIII, the Darrel Family, and passing royalty, Littlecote House boasts a fascinating legacy. Today, it stands as a charming country hotel and resort managed by Warner Holidays.
Here’s a glimpse of our approx timings:
- Meet at The Compass Hotel in Tormarton at 10am (adjacent to junction 18 of the M4) for coffee, departing at 10:30am.
- After traversing scenic landscapes and winding roads, we’ll pause for a delightful lunch at The Wheatsheaf Inn in Chilton Foliat, RG19 OTE.
- Our journey continues through the captivating countryside, culminating in an exploration of the captivating Littlecote House and Gardens.
