Pie, Mash & Tales with Ren Renwick from RWA Bristol

15th January 2025 - 18:30 to 22:00

Kick off the New Year with an inspiring evening featuring Ren Renwick, Director of the Royal West of England Academy, and curator Simon Grant. Together, they’ll explore the extraordinary life and work of Paule Vézelay (1892–1984), one of the UK’s pioneering abstract artists.

Born as Marjorie Watson-Williams in Clifton, Vézelay’s bold artistic vision took her from Bristol High School and the Bristol School of Art to the heart of the Parisian avant-garde. The RWA is thrilled to host the first major exhibition of her work in over 40 years, celebrating her remarkable seven-decade career, including her designs for Heals.

Price: £40.00 Members / £45.00 Non-Members inclusive of your pie & mash main course, followed by a sharing cheese platter and half a bottle of wine per person.
