Join us for an exciting Pottery Workshop on Saturday 8th June at Wood Studio in Clifton Wood, led by pottery expert Rose Nisbet. Bristol-born, Rose’s journey from surface design to ceramics began in London, where she studied Surface Design BA at the University of the Arts. Drawn to bold patterns, Rose transitioned from designing wallpapers and textiles to crafting ceramics after discovering pottery during an evening class.
Upon returning to Bristol, Rose established her own pottery studio in Clifton Wood, where she continues to create unique pieces using equipment acquired second-hand from a retired potter. In this workshop, we’ll delve into the world of clay textures, experimenting with imprinting flowers, cut-out shapes, leaves, and stamps to craft your own one-of-a-kind planter using hand-building techniques. Unlike using a pottery wheel, this method is easier and allows for greater creativity.
Your finished pot will be approximately 11cm wide and 10cm tall, with the option to customize the height. After firing and glazing, your creation will be ready for collection within three weeks.
Don’t miss this opportunity to unleash your creativity and explore the art of pottery with Rose Nisbet. Contact us to reserve your spot and unleash your inner artist!
