Join us for a romp through the Vineyards and Wineries of Southern California. This 2004 classic film was instrumental in the demise of Merlot in California, and beyond!
It is a bit of a love letter to Pinot Noir – listen carefully, and you will learn all about this delicate grape that produces great wines like Burgundies. But it is also a raucous comedy about two guys on a weeks holiday and makes good fun of wine snobs!
We are thrilled to have secured a selection of wines from the very wineries featured in the film. To compliment these, Chef Wragg – who spent several years honing his craft in California – will be serving a delicious two-course menu. The meal begins with authentic Californian fish tacos, followed by a 8oz sirloin steak, topped with garlic butter and served with crispy French fries. A true West Coast culinary experience, paired beautifully with these exceptional wines.
Ed Clarke from DBM Wines has kindly agreed to introduce the movie for us, and tell us a bit more about the wines of Southern California.
