In Freedom and Adventure, Denis shares his experiences traveling through middle America and down the Pan-American Highway, traversing seven borders through Mexico and Central America. His journey, likely the first of its kind, offers a rare glimpse into the golden years of hitchhiking and life on the road during a bygone era. Illustrated with maps and photos, the book provides historical context and personal reflections, making it both an informative and entertaining read.
