This month’s screening is the classic film “84 Charing Cross Road” 1987, Staring Anne Bancroft, Anthony Hopkins & Dame Judi Dench. The film received positive reviews from critics, as well as receiving numerous industry awards and nominations. Anne Bancroft won the BAFTA Award Best Actress in a leading role for her portrayal of Hanff. Additionally, Dame Judi Dench was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Dame Judi Dench has said that 84 Charing Cross Road is one of her favourite films in which she has appeared in her career.
