Led by local expert, Jules Lewis, The Apostles meet as a small group of around 12 – 15 members. Tastings are convivial and informal. Jules selects the wines and ensures that during the year a wide range of types and styles are tasted at a variety of price points.
The next Apostles Wine Tasting is on Wednesday May 4th at 7pm.
Half a dozen or so wines are tasted per session. Classics are not ignored but it is an unusual Apostles where participants will even have heard of all the wines and grape varieties let alone have tasted them before! Over time Apostles can therefore expect to try many wines they have not previously experienced whilst gaining a better understanding of the characteristics of different grape varieties and styles of wine making.
